Careers at Access Dental Care

Each of our dental teams is made up of a dentist, dental hygienist and two dental assistants.  Our clinical teams are supported by a team of schedulers, billing specialists, insurance specialist, treatment coordinators and social workers.  If you are interested in joining our amazing team, please see job descriptions by category.

Dentist

Each of our dentists is responsible for a given territory radius of one to one and a half hours of the “home base”.  Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must provide quality, standard of care treatment in all phases of general dentistry.

  • Must have strong clinical skills in general dentistry and comfortable providing specialty services in removable prosthodontics, oral pathology and oral surgery. 

  • Must have compassion for serving geriatric patients as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  •  Ability to manage medically and behaviorally complex patients.

  • Skill and empathy to evaluate the emotional, intellectual and physical capabilities of our patient and adjusting treatment options and techniques to best serve the patient.

  • Develop treatment plans that are appropriate for special care patients (referral to specialty clinics are difficult). 

  • Be responsible for leading the clinical operations for their assigned facility.  Leading a dental team that consists of a hygienist and assistants. 

  • Presenting a positive and caring atmosphere for the comfort of the patient and communicating in a manner that is comprehensible to the patient and/or family.

  • Complete and maintain accurate records and provide comprehensive post treatment notes.

  • Flexible and able to manage the unexpected and the challenges of being a mobile practice. 

  • Provide care to patients in the hospital operating room setting. 

  • Operating the program on a fiscally sound basis.  

Dental Hygienist

Be proficient in all dental hygiene duties including, but not limited to, intra and extra oral exams, review of complex medical histories, scaling, periodontal therapy, charting, exposing digital x-rays, and communicating with the dentist. 

  • Must have compassion for serving geriatric patients as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  •  Ability to manage medically and behaviorally complex patients.

  • Skill and empathy to evaluate the emotional, intellectual and physical capabilities of our patient and adjusting treatment options and techniques to best serve the patient.

  • Maintaining and documenting accurate chart information

  • Maintaining and following appropriate infection control procedures

  • Sterilizing and disinfecting dental instruments

  • Provide post-operative instructions to caregivers and family members

  • Be a team player.  You could be working with different dentists and assistants.

  •  Will be expected to drive the truck to and from the facilities (training provided)

  • Follow all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines

Dental Assistant

  • Assist a dentist and hygienist in all aspects of dentistry including but not limited to: four-handed dental assisting, obtaining radiographs, coronal polishing, dental charting, sterilization, tray set up, impressions and lab work

  • Must have compassion for serving geriatric patients as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

  •  Skill and empathy to evaluate the emotional, intellectual and physical capabilities of our patient and adjusting treatment options and techniques to best serve the patient.

  • Maintain and document accurate chart information

  • Maintain the supply inventory on the mobile units

  • Maintain and follow appropriate infection control procedures

  • Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments

  • Provide post-operative instructions to caregivers and family members

  • Be a team player. You could be working with different dentists and hygienists.

  • Will be expected to drive the truck to and from the facilities (training provided)

  • Assist dentist in the operating room. You will need to be able to receive and maintain credentials within the hospital

  • Prepare patients for dental procedures including but not limited to taking vital signs

  • Follow all OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
