Why Choose Us?

Compassionate Care

Our expertise is serving those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and older adults with complex medical conditions. Our care takes into account patient behaviors and the concerns of their caregivers.

Comprehensive Care

We provide the complete range of dental services including but not limited to preventive care, restorative care, oral surgery, and dentures.

Continuity of Care

Access Dental Care is committed to providing continuity of care throughout your lifetime. When all residents have an assigned dentist, it reduces frustrations for your staff and responsible parties and ensures badly needed continuity of care.

How Does It Work?

Every day our dental teams (a dentist, hygienist and two dental assistants) drive to a location, unload two operatories of dental equipment into the facility, provide care to scheduled patients, reload the equipment and return to a regional base. This team of specially-trained dental professionals is supported by in-house social workers, schedulers and billing specialists, making sure all the details of complex care are taken care of.

  1. Contact Us: If your facility is in North Carolina, have the administrator, DON or Social Worker complete the facility interest form linked below.

  2. Follow-Up: Access Dental Care will follow up with your facility about contract options.

  3. Contracts: Once the contract is signed, Access Dental Care’s Care Coordinators will meet with facility leadership to review details on program start-up.

  4. Clinic Day: A clinic day will be scheduled based on patient participation.

  5. Follow-Up Clinics: Follow-up clinics are scheduled based on patient participation. Clinics can be scheduled as often as once per month but are guaranteed at least once per quarter.

Why Dental Care is
Important

Healthcare literature is full of connections between oral health and systemic health.

Poor oral health has been connected to diabetes control, inflammation of the blood vessels as seen in heart disease, and there is significant data showing a relationship to oral health and dementia.

Caring for Elderly:
Thanks so much to you and your staff for taking such good care of my dad.  Everyone involved with the procedure was gentle, kind and focused on my dad’s level of comfort.  I really appreciate the effort from all of you
